FAQ
Where does the filming take place?
You can come to us or us to you. We find it best to interview the client in a setting that is comfortable for them. For some that is in the comfort of their home. Prefer to keep the busyness of filming outside their home. We find our best interviews happen when our clients feel most at ease.
How do I deliver the photos and videos for scanning?
If your photos and videos are all digital, we can send a link for you to upload them. If not, no worries because we are capable of scanning them here. We will send you a package that walks you through the process of labeling and sending them off. Please be aware that scans come with an additional fee.
What does a day of filming look like?
Each project’s filming day can look a bit different: We love to start early in the day with an interview to get acquainted with the client. Then we take a break and set up some B roll scenes. Then sit down for a second interview near the end. We know being in front of the camera all day can be tiring so it is our goal to move at the pace that is comfortable for our client. We are happy to schedule the day and start time that works best for you.
How long are the films?
The Full Interview Documentary films are up to 120 minutes. The films vary depending on the length of the interviews.

The Cinematic Short Film are up to 15 minutes in length. These vary widely depending on the amount of b-roll that is included.
What B-Roll do you film?
In addition to the photo and home video scans. We like to include footage of who our client is today. We want to spend some time filming the things they like to do. Cooking, fishing, visiting with family, reading books to loved ones, etc. This film is meant to be personal and we want it to reflect that in the final product
What is B-Roll
B-roll is a term used to describe secondary footage, often used as cutaway footage, to provide context and visual interest to help tell your story.
